Hulk Hogan’s health "improving" after 12 ops including back, hips and knees

Wrestling legend Hulk Hogan's health is “improving”, according to long-time friend and former manager Jimmy Hart.

The 68-year-old, famously known for wearing red and yellow wrestling attire, has been in poor health for a number of years.

His own daughter Brooke recently revealing that the controversial former WCW champion has had 25 operations in the last decade alone – 12 of those coming in the last five years.

However, she did admit that the 12-time world champion was “feeling well” and still works out in the gym twice a day.

And now Hart, who often appeared ringside for Hogan, has given a further update on his health situation.

He said, during an appearance on the Stories with Brisco and Bradshaw podcast: “Well, he’s doing a lot better.

"Still, after 12 back surgeries, hips, and knees, he’s doing so much better.

“He’s been taking this therapy every week and it’s been really improving him more and more so he can get up and get about pretty good now.

“He still looks good – he always has the hair and has the tan and his upper body is unbelievable, and he always looks the part.

“He can still do an interview at the drop of a hat and he knows what to say and when to say it – he is such a magnet.

“People love him no matter where we go – it’s crazy.”

Having returned to WWE in 2014, he was fired a year later when a leaked sex tape emerged in which he could be heard saying he'd be disgusted if his daughter was found to be in a relationship with a black man.

There has been rumours of Hogan contemplating a return to the ring for a one-off match, but his recent history has seen him booed by a large section of WWE's fanbase on many occasions – as recently as last April when he hosted Wrestlemania 37.
