Shadow Business and Energy Secretary Ed Miliband argued that energy market in its current form was deeply inadequate. While speaking on BBC’s Today Programme, on the question of nationalisation for the energy sector, he said there was a role for public ownership. This comes after Labour Party leader Keir Starmer ruled out the idea of nationalising the big six energy companies.

Mr Miliband added it was important to get this right and take a fundamental look at this market.
