Cybercrime Charges​ Filed ​Against Ex-Michigan wolverines ⁣Quarterbacks Coach Matt Weiss

The U.S. Attorney’s Office has formally indicted Matt weiss,previously the quarterbacks coach and⁢ co-offensive coordinator for the University of Michigan Wolverines football team,on two dozen counts‍ of cyber-related offenses.
These serious allegations‌ surfaced more than two ‌years ⁤after ⁢Weiss’s departure from the university in january 2023. His ‍termination followed an internal inquiry initiated by the ⁢University of Michigan police department, probing⁣ potential ⁢unauthorized ‍computer activities within a football program building.
Weiss, currently 42 years old, ‍is ​now facing ​14 ⁣charges related to illicitly accessing computer ⁢systems and a further 10 charges of aggravated identity theft.⁢ These accusations underscore the gravity of​ cybercrime‍ allegations within​ major collegiate athletic programs.
