Cenkos Securities Slips To Loss In FY22, Revenues Down; Cuts Dividend

Cenkos Securities plc (CNKS.L), an institutional stockbroking firm, reported Friday that its fiscal 2022 loss before tax was 2.70 million pounds, compared to prior year’s profit of 3.95 million pounds.

Basic loss per share was 4.9 pence, compared to last year’s profit of 7.1 pence.

Underlying profit was 0.2 million pounds, compared to last year’s 4.4 million pounds.

Revenue dropped 46 percent to 20.3 million pounds from prior year’s 37.2 million pounds.

Further, the company announced that a final dividend of 0.5p per share has been proposed for the year 2022, down from last year’s 3.0p. The proposed final dividend is subject to approval at the Annual General Meeting.

Robert Walters Full-year Profit, Revenue Jump

Robert Walters plc (RWA), a U.K.-based professional recruitment group, on Friday announced its results for the year ended 31 December 2022 that showed an increase in revenue as well as profit before tax.

Profit before tax increased to 55.6 million pounds, from 50.2 million pounds in 2021.

After tax, profit for the year stood at 39.1 million pounds or 53.4 pence per share as compared to 33.5 million pounds or 43.7 pence per share in the prior year.

Revenue for the year increased 13 percent to 1.1 billion pounds, from 970.7 million pounds in the prior year.

The company has proposed a final dividend of 17.0 p per share versus 15.0 p per share in 2021.The final dividend, if approved, would be paid on 26 May 2023 to those shareholders on the register as at 28 April 2023

Shares of Robert Walters closed Thursday’s trading at 492 pence, down 14 pence or 2.77 percent from the previous close.

Berkeley: Current Trading In Line With Previously Identified Levels – Quick Facts

The Berkeley Group Holdings plc (BKG.L) said its current trading is in line with the levels identified in the December interim results, in which sales since the end of September 2022 were around 25% lower than the strong first five months of the fiscal year. The Group noted that this is a resilient performance in the context of the market volatility since the end of September.

Berkeley reaffirmed that it is on target to deliver pre-tax earnings of approximately 600 million pounds for the year ending 30 April 2023, with at least 1.05 billion pounds in aggregate to be delivered for the following two years. Net cash at year-end is currently expected to be around 375 million pounds.

The company also announced that the next 141.4 million pounds shareholder return will be provided by 30 September 2023 through a combination of dividends and share buy-backs. Of this, 9.5 million pounds has been returned through share buy-backs.
