All singing, dancing and lasting – children rule in New King single

New King

Fun, catchy and lasting, the ‘New King’ single composed by London- based children’s author and teacher Banji Alexander is a must-listen, capturing the King’s Coronation from a child’s perspective in a unique musical memento.

The vibrant mix features string and horn sections reminiscent of 70s disco/soul blended with a pop hook, hip hop groove and funk bass line. Banji’s soulful vocal weaves into those of his young, all singing and dancing protégés creating a very timely hit.

“Having a new monarch ascend to the throne is such a historic moment, it made me want to mark that in a fun and engaging way for my primary aged audience. It is also the first song to be taken from my next book, which is a musical, also titled, ‘New King’,” says Banji.

During the last seven months he has visited 75 schools giving young people a voice by asking them: “If you were king from today, how would you celebrate?”.

Those conversations sparked the idea for his song and gathering a group of from those he had met they recorded his Coronation song and formed a collective now known as Banji’s Class – for them a very modern fairy tale come true.

Amgen: Prolia Shows Greater Fracture Risk Reduction Than With Alendronate In Real-world Study

Amgen (AMGN) said new data from a real-world study of nearly half of a million postmenopausal women with osteoporosis in the U.S. medicare program showed Prolia injection reduced fracture risk in patients versus oral alendronate. Treatment with Prolia was also associated with greater reductions in fracture risk over time, the company noted.

Prolia is the first approved therapy that specifically targets RANK Ligand, an essential regulator of bone-removing cells. Amgen said these findings provide important insights into the effectiveness of Prolia versus oral alendronate on osteoporotic fracture outcomes in post-menopausal women with osteoporosis at high risk for fracture using real-world data.
