‘Shooting’ rocks sleepy residential road in quiet UK town in broad daylight

Emergency services have cordoned off a residential street in Greater Manchester following a reported “shooting”.

Officers from Greater Manchester Police are at the scene on Coniston Road and Thirlmere Avenue, near the Trafford Park train station in Stretford, with a large cordon in place.

A number of police vehicles, including a TAU van, have been pictured at the scene.

Paramedics were also understood to have been at the scene earlier today.

Greater Manchester Police are expected to be issuing a full statement on this incident shortly.
