Launching the Archewell Foundation, Harry praised his mother in a statement but made no mention of Charles. Both Harry and Meghan claimed to be their mother’s son and did not mention their respective fathers. Due to that, some royal fans called for the pair to be stripped of their royal titles during this month’s negotiations.
ITV presenter, Piers Morgan, claimed the message was “shameful” and called for the Queen to remove their titles.
With that in mind, Express.co.uk is asking readers, “Should the Queen strip titles from Harry and Meghan after Charles snub?”
In a statement labelled as ‘a letter for 2022’, Harry and Meghan called on their supporters to join in them in becoming more compassionate.
They said: “Together we bring you Archewell. We believe in the best of humanity.

“Because we have seen the best of humanity. We have experienced compassion and kindness.
“From our mothers and strangers alike. In the face of fear, struggle and pain.
“It can be easy to lose sight of this. Together, we can choose courage, healing, and connection.
“Together, we can choose to put compassion in action. We invite you to join us.”

“As we work to build a better world. One act of compassion at a time.”
Following the statement, Piers said in response: “I think they’re a pair of vapid little wastrels exploiting their royal titles for vast commercial gain whilst doing none of the duty that being a member of the Royal Family entails.
“It’s shameless, shameful & the Queen should stop them doing it by removing the titles.”
After reading the statement from the pair, some royal fans also echoed those calls.

One person said: “Certainly if the Queen’s press secretary announced that the Sussexes were being stripped of their titles this would help, and that the Royal Family are happy for them to live abroad in a private capacity, this would calm the public perception of the Queen’s acceptance of their shameful behaviour which, if the comments about them are true, seems to be inflaming the situation, the Queen should act now and end this damaging episode for the good of the country and indeed the crown.”
Harry and Meghan made the decision to step back as senior members of the royals last year in order to become more financially independent.
Within the details of their agreement, the pair agreed to no longer use their His/Her Royal Highness prefixes.
However, they both retained the titles following talks with senior royals last spring.
In relation to his military background, the Duke of Sussex also retained his official military appointments.
In 2018 Harry was given appointments to all three services of the military.
He did agree, however, to not use the military appointments during the 12-month period of the new measures.
No further appointments have been made during the 12 months.
Meghan and Harry will negotiate the terms of the deal with the Royal Family this month.
Ahead of the negotiations, some royal experts have claimed the pair will try to attain a “better deal”.
Speaking to Nine Honey, Russell Myers said: “I think they’re hoping for a renegotiation of their deal.
“It was a big thing at the beginning of the year when they negotiated the Megxit deal.
“They kind of wanted one foot in, one foot out of the Royal Family.”
