Revealed: Winners of £115m EuroMillions jackpot are couple from County Armagh

Lottery operator Camelot confirmed the winners’ full identities will be revealed at a news conference in Belfast after they scooped the New Year’s Day draw.

It comes after the couple came forward to claim the jackpot on Wednesday. The lucky winners will start 2019 considerably wealthier after scooping the prize – a total of £114,969,755.70.

Earlier, Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser at The National Lottery, said: “Imagine kicking off the new year with an extra £114M to your name.

“What an amazing win and year ahead for one lucky UK ticket-holder. This win ranks at number four in the list of the biggest ever National Lottery winners and we look forward to helping them begin to enjoy their win.”

Ten other players have also won £1m each in the New Year’s Day draw.

The biggest UK lottery winners to date are Colin and Chris Weir, who took home more than £161m in 2011.

Adrian and Gillian Bayford scooped more than £148m in 2012, while the biggest winner of 2018 was an anonymous ticket-holder who took home £121m.

In November last year, builder Andrew Clark won a £76m lottery jackpot after giving in to his family, who spent six weeks urging him to check his ticket.
