Prince William tipped to send ‘olive branch’ to mark Prince Harry’s birthday

Prince Harry told ‘your beard is delicious’ in Invictus appearance

Prince Harry is celebrating his 39th birthday today and the royal could be in for a treat from his brother Prince William, according to a royal expert.

King Charles’s former butler Grant Harrold claims the Prince of Wales might still reach out to Harry on his special day despite the two pair’s ongoing feud.

Mr Harrold suggested William could offer an “olive branch” – albeit small – to his younger brother.

He said: “He might get a text, or he might get an email. I hope they do reach out. I’d like to think William would pick up the phone to wish him a happy birthday.”

And the expert claimed Harry’s birthday would be the “opportunity” for King Charles to also reach out to his estranged son.

He told Slingo: “I would hope that Harry would do the same to them on their birthdays. I think the damage has already been done now and I think at this moment in time, I don’t see it dramatically changing.”

Prince Harry kicked off his birthday celebrations with “six beers” and a “very jolly good time” alongside his wife at a traditional German brewery in Dusseldorf.

Harry and wife Meghan Markle were spotted right in the centre of the German city and they were joined by their group of aides for dinner at Im Goldened Kessel restaurant on Thursday after watching the Invictus Games.

They were seen laughing throughout the night, with Harry enjoying six beers. Meghan decided to stick to just one beer.
