The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed a baby daughter on Friday morning, with the couple naming the babe after the Queen and the late Princess of Wales. But the couple, who seek to shield both their children from the public eye, will not be releasing a photo of the new arrival anytime soon, according to Meghan and Harry’s biography and friend Omid Scobie.
Mr Scobie, author of Finding Freedom, wrote on Twitter: “The couple, who will not be sharing a photo at this time, are now on parental leave.
“For those asking about sending gifts, Harry and Meghan have asked well-wishers to support or learn about the following women-focused orgs: Girls Inc., CAMFED, Myna Mahila Foundation and Harvest Home.”
Etiquette expert Lisa Gaché, a frequent source of advice for A-Listers, has also predicted the first photo of the baby may not be shared for several weeks.
She told the Telegraph any fresh information about the child will be closely guarded “until her parents are ready to divulge it”.
The social commentator added the all-important first photo is “likely to come out within the first two weeks rather than the first few days
She explained: “Meghan won’t want taken until she’s feeling her best.”
After Archie was born in 2019, Meghan and Harry participated in a royal photo call at Windsor Castle a few days after the birth.
Few photos of their two-year-old son have been released in the months and years that followed.
Ms Gaché also said LA was the perfect place to bring up a child, if privacy is a top concern.
She said: “In LA, celebrities are assured two things when they have a baby: privacy and control.

“And let’s not forget that in Hollywood celebrities are our royalty, so royal celebrities are in a sphere of their own.
“Which means that from the moment she arrived, right through her early months and years, Harry and Meghan will be able to control the narrative for their daughter.”
Meghan and Harry’s press secretary announced the news of the baby’s birth yesterday evening.
They announced the child was born at 11.40am at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in California weighing 7lbs 11oz.

The statement also gave a brief explanation behind the choice of names, and said: “Lili is named after her great-grandmother, Her Majesty The Queen, whose family nickname is Lilibet. Her middle name, Diana, was chosen to honour her beloved late grandmother, The Princess of Wales.”
Meghan and Harry also included a personal message of thanks in the statement.
It read: “On June 4th, we were blessed with the arrival of our daughter, Lili.
“She is more than we could have ever imagined, and we remain grateful for the love and prayers we’ve felt from across the globe.
“Thank you for your continued kindness and support during this very special time for our family.”
Buckingham Palace said the queen, Harry’s father Prince Charles and his brother and wife, Prince William and Kate, were delighted with the news.
