Insiders in the Sussex camp revealed Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor is showering his new sister Lilibet with “lots of kisses” and has held her with the help of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The source added there were “no jealousy issues” between the siblings as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex return to their house in California. It comes as some royal commentators fear the two will be pitted against each other like Harry and William were in their younger years.

Speaking on the US Weekly royal podcast, co-host Molly Mulshine told the show they have spoken with someone who works alongside Harry and Meghan.

She said: “[Prince Harry and Meghan] are already back home in Montecito, California with their baby girl.

“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex absolutely adores his little sister and gives her lots of kisses.

“He’s held her with the help of his parents.”

Ms Mulshine also revealed the insider said Archie was “such a loving child” and they are not any “jealousy issues with the family’s new arrival.”

Another insider told US Weekly that Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, has been staying with the couple since Lilibet’s birth and has helped out with daily care duties.

People Magazine have also reported Archie has grown up tremendously and is beginning to carve out a life and personality for himself.

On the subject of Lilibet’s birth, the source said: “[He] is very happy to have a little sister.

A statement was released on Harry and Meghan’s Archewell website announcing the news.

It read: “It is with great joy that Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, welcome their daughter, Lilibet ‘Lili’ Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, to the world.

“Lili was born on Friday, June 4 at 11.40 am in the trusted care of the doctors and staff at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, CA.

“She weighed 7 lbs 11 oz. Both mother and child are healthy and well, and settling in at home.”

The origin of the name was also explained.

It continued: “Lili is named after her great-grandmother, Her Majesty The Queen, whose family nickname is Lilibet.

“Her middle name, Diana, was chosen to honour her beloved late grandmother, The Princess of Wales.

“This is the second child for the couple, who also have a two-year-old son named Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
