Supermac’s to create 60 jobs with first Donegal outlet
Supermac’s is to create 60 jobs with the opening of its first outlet in Donegal today.
The roles being created are mostly full-time positions.
The restaurant and service station also includes Papa John’s and SuperSubs as well as a Londis, Top Oil and Bewley’s.
Overall, 110 jobs were supported during the construction of the complex at Drumlonagher, outside Donegal town.
The facility is owned and operated by franchisee, Ken Foley, who also owns Supermac’s outlets in Sligo and Ballina.
He said that the positivity in the region was a key factor in his decision to open the fast food restaurant.
“We are delighted to be the 1st Supermac’s outlet in Donegal and like all the Supermac’s outlets throughout the country it is important that we are part of the community here,” Mr Foley said.
Supermac’s MD, Pat McDonagh, said that these were “exciting times” for Supermac’s throughout the country.
“Our franchisee, Ken Foley, has been with the company for 16 years since he started with us in Ballina and it was a natural fit that he would open an outlet in Donegal Town,” Mr McDonagh added.
