Morrisons cafe is giving all OAPs a free drink and a mince pie in December
As much as we love a good mince pie, one of the most important things about Christmas is spending quality time with your family.
So as it's the season of goodwill, Morrisons has announced that it's giving all OAPs a free drink and mince pie on December 3rd.
The free refreshments will be served in the store's cafe between 2.30pm and 5.30pm on the day. All you need to do is simply stop by at Morrisons cafe and mention the offer to staff at the till.
Rather than just taking your goods and going, the freebie will also provide the perfect opportunity for people to interact, with plenty of pensioners all likely to be enjoying their festive treat in the cafe at the same time.
The deal was originally spotted by bargain hunters on deals forum HotUKDeals Facebook page, after Morrisons customers saw the supermarket post about the deal on their own social media.
Alongside news of the offer, Morrisons said "Nobody should have to be alone over the festive season, and so to show our older customers how much we value them — and spread a little festive cheer — we’re offering all OAPs a free hot drink and mince pie in our cafes between 2.30pm and 5pm on Tuesday 3rd December."
A similar deal has been run by the supermarket before, at both Christmas and at Easter, when Morrisons gave out free hot cross buns and cups of tea.
If you're looking to buy your own mince pies or host a similar deal at your own home, Morrisons has also slashed the price of their The Best deep filled mince pies right now, from £2 to just £1.
